Punkins

Yesterday after seeing Real Steel (which I actually really enjoyed) Eric and I headed to the store to get the best of the last pumpkins so we could do some carving, considering Halloween is tomorrow!!!

We carved our little hearts out...

We cleaned all the guts out...

We saved some seeds...

We created masterpieces...

And today we cooked up the seeds into a yummy salty delicious snack!

I decided to try something new besides the usual salt and butter. It was a good choice...

Spiced Pumpkin Seeds

Ingredients
1.5 tablespoons butter, melted
.5 teaspoon salt
.5 teaspoon garlic salt
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 cups dried pumpkin seeds
(Feel free to adjust ingredients to your preferences. I prefer salty!)

Directions
Preheat oven to 275 degrees F
Combine all ingredients except the seeds in a bowl. Mix well
Add seeds and cover well
Place on baking sheet in one thin layer
Bake for 1 hour, stirring occasionally (cook longer for added crunch)

ENJOY!

Happy Halloween to everyone from us!

Love, The Smiths
