3 and 4...Give Me Some More!

Thursday marked day three of being on the East Coast, and to celebrate we made our first trip into Manhattan to do a little exploring with myself, Eric and two of his friends/co-workers Jeff and Guillermo.

We started out the fun with a dinner run to this de-LICIOUS thai place called something. I can't remember. But the food was awesome and the prices were even better! Each of these plates you see below {prepare yourself for awesomeness} were about $9.00. For NYC that's considered cheap people! Doesn't get much better than that I tell ya.

Sorry for the terrible picture quality!

After dinner we taxied it down to the lovely Times Square. I hear it's quite disgusting during the day. However, at night it was magnificent! Pictures don't do the lights and billboards and everything justice. Come visit me and I'll take you there to see for yourself...I know you want to :)

We ended the night with a stop at Mickey-D's for milkshakes and a walk to this cute little park.
Thank you Guillermo for being our personal NYC tour guide and teaching us about the city and it's "ways". Fabulouso night!

The boys

 Friday turned out to be a very short day of work for Eric. So we took advantage of this by going back into the city. What did we do? LOTS!

1.) Visited Wall Street and the Stock Exchange
2.) Visited Federal Hall where George Washington was inaugurated. Super cool. Me and G go wayyy back.
3.) Took the Staten Island Ferry and saw the lovely lady
4.) Got extremely irritated at each other for getting so beyond lost {oh wait that was just me not Eric}
5.) Ate at this yummy Italian restaurant
6.) Made fools of ourselves not once...but twice!
7.) Saw some intense subway lovin'
{we tried to snap a picture of this lovin' because it was so so funny and they had no shame! However, right as the camera was about to go off I realized the flash was probably on so I quickly put my hand over Eric's phone, just in time to just barely cover it, meaning you still saw some of the flash go off.  Eric attempted again with the flash off but as he held the phone up to get the picture he saw through the screen that they were starring at him! Can you say embarrassed?! I've never exited the subway so fast!!! oh gosh}

 {At dinner we were given a little bowl with olive oil in it and a clove of garlic for dipping our bread in. I wanted more garlic flavor so I cut the garlic clove in half. Then I attempted to squish it down with my fork. Not such a brilliant idea apparently. I ended up sling-shooting the whole piece of garlic up and over my head, barely missing the guy sitting behind us! We haven't laughed so hard in a while. Just what we needed to ease my irritation from getting lost.}

Thank you to everyone that left me ideas of things to do in NYC. You guys are the greatest and I cannot wait to try all your suggestions!

Love, The Smiths
